About Me
I’m Alex. I’m a BBC trained, freelance videographer, video producer and video editor based near York, North Yorkshire.
I create high quality video content tailored specifically to your business or organisation’s requirements with the aim of delivering the results you need to build your brand.
I work with a wide variety of clients from local SMEs to national organisations such as First Group, Great British Racing and City Experiences.
Background
I graduated from Leeds University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Broadcasting (Hons) – a course jointly run by the BBC which included extensive training in TV production.
I then worked for many years within the radio industry, most recently at York’s Minster FM, where I was initially a presenter, before becoming Head of Digital in 2016.
During my time in radio, I also worked extensively on stations’ visual branding, brand identity, website design and video production.
Home Life
In my spare time, as a lover of nature and the great outdoors, I’m often to be found running, walking or cycling through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, growing vegetables, tending to my honeybees, or walking our daft labradoodle, Bennett, with my husband, Richard.
